Join Our Church Family at Parkwood!
At Parkwood Church, we want everyone to feel at home. If you've been worshipping with us and are considering membership, we would love to welcome you into our church family! At the close of every worship service, we sing a hymn of invitation. If you're ready to join, simply come forward during this time, and Pastor Russell will assist you in taking the next step in your faith journey.
Ways to Join:
- Profession of Faith and Baptism: If you are a new Christian, you can join by professing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. After your profession of faith, we invite you to be baptized by water immersion, following Christ’s example.
- Transfer of Membership: If you are already a member of another Baptist church and wish to transfer your membership, you can join by letter. We will gladly take care of the details to ensure a smooth transition.
- Baptism by Immersion: If you’ve accepted Christ but have not yet been baptized by immersion, we ask that you participate in water baptism as part of your membership process. This is an important step in publicly declaring your faith.
- Joining by Statement: If you have accepted Christ and have been baptized, but membership records from another church are unavailable, you may join by making a simple statement of your faith.
Families and Children:
We especially love seeing families become part of our church community! At Parkwood, children are valued members of our congregation. If your child is ready to make a decision for Christ, they can come forward, and Pastor Russell will guide you through the appropriate next steps, taking into consideration your child's age, spiritual readiness, and needs.
